Why you need a Stripe account

youarepadel never touches your booking money. When a player pays for a match at your club, the payment goes straight to your account through Stripe, our payment partner — not to a youarepadel account that would then pay you your share. That's what lets us guarantee you 0% commission on your bookings, unlike most solutions on the market. See the full path of a payment

In practice, this means you need your own Stripe Connect account, linked to your club on youarepadel. If you've never used Stripe before, no worries: setup usually takes under 10 minutes, and we walk you through it step by step below.

youarepadel appears nowhere on this path. We bill our subscription separately, 5 € per month and per court.

Before you start

To get through setup without interruption, have these on hand:

1

Your club's legal information (business name, registration number or equivalent, address).

2

A bank account number, or the details of the account you want to receive payments on.

3

A valid ID for the club's legal representative (ID card or passport).

Stripe asks for this information to verify your identity and let you receive funds — this is a regulatory requirement common to all payment providers, not something specific to youarepadel.

Steps to connect your account

1

Go to your Manager space, then open the Billing > Payments section.

2

Click "Connect my Stripe account". You're redirected to a secure form hosted by Stripe — youarepadel never sees or stores your bank details.

Receive your players' payments

As long as Stripe isn't connected, your slots stay visible but can't be paid online.

3

Enter your club's information: business identity, address, industry.

4

Add your bank details to receive payments.

5

Verify your identity by uploading an ID for the legal representative.

6

Confirm: you're redirected back to youarepadel, and your account moves into verification.

Suggested screen — the Stripe flow, steps 3 to 5. It's hosted by Stripe: you control neither its layout nor its labels. What's designed on our end is what surrounds it — the no-collection promise, and a clean return once it's confirmed.

Once these steps are done, there's nothing else for you to do: your players' payments will arrive automatically on your bank account, on Stripe's usual payout schedule.

Understanding your account status

In your Manager space, you'll see your Stripe connection status at all times. Here's what each status means:

Under review

Stripe is reviewing the information you submitted. This is the normal state right after you sign up; it usually resolves within a few hours to a few days.

Active

Your account is validated, you can receive payments right away. Nothing for you to do.

Missing information

Stripe needs something more (often an extra document) before it can activate payments. Go back to Billing > Payments to see exactly what's missing and complete it.

Account suspended

An issue is blocking payments to your account. Contact our support team, and we'll help you resolve it quickly.

Suggested screen — the blocking status. A status should never appear alone: it names the missing document, shows what's already validated, and offers the action that unblocks it. That's what avoids half of support tickets.

Frequently asked questions

Does Stripe charge fees?

Stripe applies its own card processing fees (around €0.25 + 1.4% per transaction for European cards, according to Stripe's official pricing page), like any payment provider. youarepadel adds no commission on top — these fees are the ones you'd pay with any card payment solution anyway.

Can I change my bank account later?

Yes, you can update your bank details at any time from your Stripe space, accessible from your Manager space.

What happens if my verification is declined?

This is rare, and usually tied to missing or inconsistent information rather than an outright refusal. Contact our support team: we'll help you identify what's blocking it and fix it.

Do I need to redo this setup for every court in my club?

No, the Stripe connection is done once per club, regardless of how many courts you manage.

How long before I receive my first payment?

Once your account is active, payments are paid out on Stripe's standard schedule (usually a few business days after each transaction). The exact delay depends on your country and appears directly in your Stripe dashboard.
